A Message From the Principal

Dear Parents & Students,

     

          Welcome to Stanley Hupfeld Academy! The teachers, parents and students all work together as a community of learners to provide the best education possible for all students. All preschool through fifth grade students are offered an exceptional education with enriching activities and educational support in a safe and nurturing learning environment. We are focused on student achievement and personal growth. We strive to provide unique learning opportunities, clubs and supports to reach our diverse learners.

The staff works diligently to meet the needs of its students by providing leveled Guided Reading instruction. Each student participates in an uninterrupted reading block of time where they are challenged with instruction at their instructional level. Our math program ensures that students receive math instruction that includes real-world applications and hands-on experiences.

At Stanley Hupfeld Academy students are expected to model behavior based on three guiding principles: respect, responsibility, and readiness to learn. Throughout the year, students learn about character traits and how they are applied in our school environment and as world citizens.  Students and Staff are members of one of five HOUSES.  These HOUSES are based on character traits and build community throughout the school.  You can learn more about the HOUSES of Kuumba, Sabio, Valor, Tiyaga, Uubuntu in our student handbook.

We are fortunate to have a dedicated staff that works to provide students with meaningful learning experiences. They are committed to helping each student make academic and social growth, which leads to a solid educational foundation and prepares them for the future. 

Our corporate sponsor and charter holder, INTEGRIS Medical supports the school through a variety of ways including funds for academic improvements, a free on-site clinic, mentors for students in K-5^th grades and  additional staff.  Their support is a model of true community commitment and ensures that Stanley Hupfeld Academy is able to meet the needs of its students and families.
